As an acupuncturist I think of the body and everything that goes on inside the body in terms of energy. In Acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Medicine) there are 12 primary energy channels each named for the organs they pass through. Any condition that western medicine (or conventional medicine) calls an allergy can be thought of as a short circuit in the energy channels. Your immune system's defenses are trying to protect you from something it has determined to be dangerous to you. It blocks or shuts down the energy flow in one or more channels in an attempt to keep the allergen's energies from further invading the body. This is what causes your allergic symptoms. I can determine which channels are shut down and which allergen is causing your symptoms. Treating you for one item at a time, I can reprogram your energetic defenses to prevent future allergic symptoms.
